Central Washington rallied from a 27-23 deficit in the second game, scoring six straight points behind some strong serving from Erika Stevens. A block by Rachael Schurman and Try gave the Wildcats the lead at 28-27, and, after the Golden Eagles scored two straight points to erase a 29-27 deficit and tie the game, kills by Schurman and Bree Brandt gave Central Washington the second game.

Cal State L.A., though, regained control in the third game, taking the lead for good at 11-10 after a kill by Gorospe. The Golden Eagles used back-to-back kills by Vieira and Steen during a strong service run by Andrea Rodriguez to take a 29-20 lead and ultimately won the game on a kill by Vieira.
The Golden Eagles jumped out to an early 13-7 advantage in the fourth game and steadily pulled away to a 19-12 edge. Central Washington pulled to within 20-19 after an ace by Schurman and a kill by Try, but a kill by Gorospe started the Golden Eagles on an 8-0 run that included three kills from Steen. Cal State L.A. then got another kill from Steen and an attack error from the Wildcats to end the match.
